Customise your tufted rug
There are lots of ways we can make the perfect handmade rug that fits effortlessly into your home
- Want your rug a specific shape? I can make any shape, maybe the gap you have is more suited to a square rug, a circular rug, oval or even a splat shape?
- I can make any size rug custom to your needs. Measure your space and we can work from there.
- Any colour scheme can work. Do you like a specific design but want the same blue as your sofa added in, or do you want it in all cream tones. Why not send a photo of the intended room so we can discuss colour schemes. I can send you wool samples to check in your home or come to my studio and pick out your colours.
The Process: How to commission a hand made tufted rug
- STEP 1: Pick your design from the Archive section of my website. Need some help choosing? Contact me below.
- STEP 2: Choose colour scheme, shape and size. Measure your space and email dimensions. If your not sure what you want scroll down to the not sure section.
- STEP 3: I will then give you a quote for your new bespoke tufted rug.
- Once the go ahead is confirmed, I will draw you up a variety of different designs based on your preferences. I want to make sure it is right for you so happy to do as many drawings as it takes.
- STEP 4: Once you have said yes to the design and you are happy with it I will send you an invoice for 1/2 the price, and I will get making.
- I normally say to allow 4-6 weeks from the design being confirmed unless otherwise stated.
- STEP 5: Once it arrived pay the rest of the invoice and enjoy your new custom tufted rug!

Like a few designs or not sure what would look best in your home?
- Have an idea on a colour scheme but not the design for your custom tufted rug? Not to worry a lot of clients come to me with a loose colour scheme and I can come up with lots of different design options to choose from.
- Send me a photo of the space the rug is going in and I can suggest a few options as starting points. I can do a home visit if you are local and get a feel for the space.
- Send some designs you like and I can make a hybrid of the ones you like.
About Jessie James the maker
Jessie uses the finest materials and practices to create thick piled quality rugs.
With over 5 years of rug making experience, she thoughtfully makes art for the home that is yours and yours only.
Jessie use a top of the range air fed Hoffman tufting gun to ensure the pile is thick and luxurious.
Each rug is tufted onto a frame stretched with a backing fabric, working from behind, Jessie draws her designs with wool as she goes.
Once the rugs are tufted and the back is secured with latex, Jessie hand sculpts the edges to flow into the floor, making them crisp but soft . The front face is sheared with a flat plate shearing machine to give the rugs a high-quality finish.
